  2. I never made it to tawjihi. If I did, I think they would have disqualified me as mastermind of the most elaborate cheating scheme to ever be uncovered in the history of tawjihi in the Kingdom.

today, I am the founder of the mab3oos foundation: Helping inner city youth develop SAT cheating skills.

  18. bambam, we are too cool for this tawjihi thing. I really feel bad for the miserable days and nights they spent memorizing books.

  19. 96.5, did the most "underachiever" thing that our society could possibly consider. The only college in JU that actually doesn't require a score, Fine Arts!
I had to actually get my dad to get the idiot in the registration department to actually agree to let me do what I wanted to do.

Of course I'm now an designer :)

Scores are the most irrelevant things in the world. In the end it's just a stupid system devised to see who's IQ smart and give them some lime light cause they're stepped all over in real life. Those with the street smarts are the ones that got life going for them.

  20. Yes it looks like the ones most happy in their lives are those who scored from mid-70s to high 80s LOL

I didn't do Tawjihi, did GCE instead, was not el tosheh don't listen to the rumors London is spreading hehe

Roba... good you did what you liked, I know some guys who went to medicine just because they could and they hated (and still hate) their life.

Naddoush... I'll just copy what kinzi said about Tawjihi: (Non-Arab readers, the Tawjihi is an end-of-the-year exam taken by seniors in high school, something like the SAT. The higher the percentage you make, the more prestigious and well-paying career you can study for. I think something like 96% and above you can be a doctor, 94% a dentist, 92% a phamacist. If you don’t make a certain percentage, you won’t go to university period, unless you have connections. Those who fail can take it again.)

97.1% from Palestine and a PhD degree, working in semiconductors. I wish I got 70% and went to business school (Tejaraaaaaaa), I would have been a General Manager by now.

  23. if the 90+ score in tawjihi does not reflect your over all performance in school in general, but only your last year in school, then yes, u ll end up hating whatever direction u end up in because it will mostly be above ur ability , and it will most likely be the choice of the ppl around you (parents) rather than your own choice.

my parents wanted me to be a doctor, my score didnt allow it (thank god) I could have gotten into pharmacy or engineering which would have pleased my parents, but i didnt because i didnt want to, because am a woman (i.e. not expected to take the financial responsibilities a man would),
but most importantly because of the unusual series of acts of fate that shaped that period of my life...
physics was my choice, you have no idea how wonderful it is to look at the world from that point of view :)

started a small business abroad after i graduated, now back home still lookin for a freakin job,
moral of the story, tawjeehi grade has nothing to do with how successful or not you're gonna be .

  27. 96.4 Science stream, UAE (and no it wasn't easy since that's what most people think) in fact, had I stayed in Jordan, I would've gotten +97%..

I've always wanted Medicine, been a dream practicaly all my life.. it went down the drain. My parents aren't your typical Arab parents, the don't want me to go for Medicine and kill whatever life I have, or will have (they won't pressure, but rather not). I dropped my Medicine dream after months of thinking and decided to stick to English Language and Literature, something I'll be able to master completely until my PhD etc... can't see myself in any other field even though everyone I know thinks I'm crazy wasting my mind and scientific studies and going for English...

So I'm a Freshman, applied to the University of Jordan just now really even though I got my acceptance and half scholarship at The American University of Sharjah..

I'm letting things "flow" I guess... never been so confused. Lost is an expression -_-
