Larger than Life

This famous picture to the left was for an "Unknown Rebel" or who was called later a Tank Man. It demonstrates the strength of a Chinese man standing against governmental tanks and eventually climbing one of them and asking the soldiers to leave his town.

Given its political signficiance (a movement against the communist government in China), this picture and video were distributed worldwide by the Associated Press and this man became a symbol of the Tiananmen Square protests.

I used to think of this man as the most courageous man ever ....

until I saw the other 2 pictures of Palestenian children throwing stones at an Israeli tank

can you even try compare the sizes of those children and the tank?

Those kids are physically smaller than the tanks but for me they are larger than life.

I must say it made me shiver. And then some media refers to those kids as "Terrorists". Weird world we're living in.

Unfortunately the boy in the second picture -Nemer Odeh- was killed (for throwing a stone). I liked to make the comparison between the children adn the Tianmen Square protests because the Chinese man was considered a hero because he opposed a communist regime, while those children were neglected although they should courage which is unheard of. It just shows how much biased the media is.

Well the problem is that the IDF and Pro-Israel people claim that Palestinians leave their kids wondering in the streets as they don't care for their safety or value life.
That is in defense of the high fatality rate among Palestinian children in the past two Intifadas. Maybe they have forgotten that these kids have no homes anymore after their refugee camp or house was demolished. They forget that their dad is in jail or most probably killed.
Just for the record, most of the children injuries were in their eyes caused by the so human rubber coated bullets, you figure!

Looking at the pictures of the kids throwing rocks at tanks, it makes one wonder if Arabs aren't too bright, or if Israelis aren't as bad as the Palestinians make them out to be. Considering that it's Arabs that like to murder women and children, I think the former is correct; Arabs just aren't too bright. Besides, we all know that Israelis don't shoot at kids, that's just an Arab lie, like every other word an Arab speaks. Arabs are only good at lying and murdering defenseless people caught unaware, but are totally inept at real war, as three wars against Israel, a smaller and weaker enemy, have show.

Correction, the name of the Palestinian kid who stood up to the tank and was killed 10 days after is Faris Odeh, not Nimr Odeh. So you two have the same name :)

You can search for it if you want.

anonymous,
if you are helpless and have nothing to defend your right with, you'll grab a stone from the ground and throw it at your opressor. Those kids are acting spontaneously they started throwing stones before Hamas or Jihad existed, they're throwing stones because Israel is taking their rights.
The kid in the picture was killed by Israelis, just like many other kids as young as 3 months who have been kiled by Israelis. If you don't believe it i don't care.
