Listen to your heart

Listen to your heart
when he’s calling for you
listen to your heart
there’s nothing else you can do
I don’t know where you’re going
and I don’t know why
listen to your heart
before you tell him goodbye

A great song by Roxette!!
i am not a smoker but my chances of dying from all the second hand smoking are much higher than smokers themselves...the only way to avoid dying this way is by banning somking all over the planet earth! will anyone abide by this?

mala2e6.... thank you for visiitng, great to see you here. Passive smoking is horrible, walla one day in Jordan made me inhale more smoke than what i inhaled in 2 years in america. Someone should do something about it.

Aboud... thank you

Wedad.... the heart and mind should speak one language when it comes to smoking.

summer... when tobacco industry stops making billions of dollars especially in 3rd world countries, tobacco will become banned.

tealover.. lack of education and laws and peer pressure, that what makes teenagers smoke.

By the way, Argeeleh is not better

some of my students presented their persuasive speeches on smoking, persuading the audience to not smoke.

after these speeches, i asked the students a question to get a discussion going about this issue. as americans, we live in a country that spends so much money on information to let people know about the dangers of smoking. as children, this info is forced down our throats in school through many different programs. etc etc etc. so why in a country where we basically know the dangers of smoking, why do we still do it?

one student brought up a very interesting issue. he referred to the idea that many people in europe and the middle east smoke and yet still live long healthy lives, and the reason why american smokers die faster or are less healthier is because of our way of life as americans, ie constantly working, our diet and lack of exercise.

now without doing the research and looking at the statistics of american smokers vs. smokers around the world, i was wondering what you thought about this fares from your perspective as a doctor.
