Batistuta

Turned 38 today.....

I feel he can play till he's 70, one of the most brilliant and faithful football players of all times.

If you visit the historical city of Firenze, you'll find a statue built especially for him.

By the way, he got married when he was 21, currently has 4 children, his middle name is Omar and youngest son's name is Shamel. It looks like there's something Arabic in him....
and if you got 5 minutes this short clip of some of his goals
UPDATE: This is one of the most touching moments in football. Batistuta played for Fiorentina for 8 years then moved to Roma, and in his first game with Roma against his old team he scored the only goal in the final minutes. The player's celebrated but he broke into tears because he scored against his old team.

UPdate La 3yoon Batir Wardam.... Here's Batigol's goal against Barcelona, sorry no sound , really fanastic goal, http://youtube.com/watch?v=y2rgxlDem14

well that player is extremly amazing ,,
his shoot is strong, he is fast in thinking where to shoot the ball, having a very good control of ball, but the tihng that i can't get,,, is why he wasn't famous as ronaldo ,, becasue he is good as ronaldo

Although I am not a supporter for Argentina I consider Batistuta to be the best striker in the world in the 90s. He represents an ideal striker. he gets the ball and then goes forward and can shoot from any angle with power and accuracy. I still recall one of his classics against Barcelona at Nou camp in the champions league.

Marwan... he was very unfortuante, he played for Fiorentina for 8 years and they had horrible players and coaches except for the last 2-3 years when they brought Edmundo and Rui Costa and Trapattoni to coach, he even styaed with the team when they were relegated to the second division.
He won Copa America twice with Argentina but since 1993 did not any world cup or Copa Americas with Argentina or even made to the semi-finals, he's not to blame for thatit's Argentina's horrible coaches who once wanted to remove him (with Caniggia and Redondo) from the team because of his long hair. Besides, if you're Argentinian you gotta work a bit harder than a Brazilian to get famous, Brazilians have it by default

summer... thanx a lot, maybe you've pointed that before but keep saying it :D

Qwaider... maybe ! there's a few Arabic names which are common in Latin America

Batir... exactly man he scores from anywhere in the field and I've never seen him shoot a weak shot, I did an update above to include his Barcelona goal

my name is muhammad benny saputra.. but just call me benny..
before i say something.. i would like to say sorry because my english isn't good.. i'm an indonesian..
i love batigol so much..
he has a very strong shoot..
no one can beat him on shooting..
his accurration n sharpeness were no doubt..
even van basten, ronaldo n vieri weren't compare to him..
after 8 years with la viola, this god of shooting was moved to as roma(curently i'm one of romanisti in indonesia because his moved, and i hoped lupachioti will bring a european champion cup to italy'roma' this year after beat man. united 2-1) and make 'i giallorossi' got the scudetto in his first year since 1984.. that was awesome.. with him, as roma can defeated inter 4-0, juventus 4-0 and 1-4.. i know that roma can't defeated this super team before his came..
Live Batigol.. hell yeah..
