Between a shooting and an explosion

For those outside the US, there was a shooting in college campus and 33 students and professors were killed.

For those inside the US, there were 190 Iraqis killed in an explosion in Baghdad, a few days after McCain and other senators visited Baghdad and said it was as safe as Indiana!

It turned out Baghdad was more dangerous than Virginia Tech's campus on an April 16 th's morning.

It looks like the people who appreciate life the most are those who lose it first.

There's a lot of crazy people in the streets. Some people complain why wasn't that Korean psycho held in a psychiatric hospital or treated in time to prevent him from doing his crime.

The sad part is that there are thousands and thousands of people like him out there walking in the streets. I have seen more crazy people in the one day in the streets and buses of Chicago than I have seen in one month at the psychiatric hospital in Mahes.

There was a shooting here in my university 4 years ago and four people were killed. The shooter was a failing nursing student. I'm just wondering if that student have passed he could have very much be next to me now in this hospital and we would be working together.

Crazy people.... they walk the streets, they live next to you, they work with you, they eat with you, they talk to you, and sometimes they run for office and ask for your vote.... and you vote for them and it takes a disaster for you to make a diagnosis.

So sad, for both...
So sad again for Iraqis, those whom no body cares if they die...

I really like the way you started and finished this post!

As for the middle, you're on the money but I just want to add:

When I saw the shooter's picture for the first time, I felt a deep sadness. I think the part of me that is a mother of teenagers tugged at my heart. I thought about all the people like him that society fails. I thought about the fact that "psychos" and "crazies" are somebody's son or daughter and somebody's old friend and somebody's student. What kind of society produces so many of these people that “they walk the streets, they live next to you, they work with you, they eat with you, they talk to you”?

What responsibility do WE have for these tragedies, be they presidents or suicidal time bombs.

to add to the point:

Crazy PPl also go dressing suits... to a country they call it irak not even pronounce the correct name "iraq" and those crazy ppl they try to pretend as US senates ... at the end of their visit those crazy ppl says that it is safer than indiana....

another kind of crazy ppl also is the ones who covers a shetty story about a crazy minded guy for 24 hours broadcast of empty boring talking and thrashes the media with nothing but bullshit stories and sychotherapy stuff and then they go to the extent that they work as exactly as that crazy guy wanted them to do by publishing his own well..so that another crazy guy would pick up the message and starts the whole thing again:)

one comparison though although it is strange came to my notice about clear example of double standards...
now USA blamed al Jazeera for its broadcasts about "our oriental crazy guys"...but when NBC even brodcasted a more shetty shetty shetty guy that i didnt got even to understand what the msg he wants from his tape no body complained ...May be little bit annoyed but even not complained..double standards of dealing with craziness isnt it?
I ll tell u something this way they r saying like this is an allowed craziness and this is a prohibited one....shetty ironic..

to add also I herby wants us to organize a rally in all the world named"the right of speech and no double standards for all crazy ppl on the world"

so all crazy ppl would have the same amount of brodcast time that the so called so chen absar shooo ,Geroge Bosh,Chenny,Ramsfield,Ehud Olmert,Sharoon had ...they should all have the same amount of time why the descremnation ?
