I strongly believe that weekly newspapers in Jordan are loaded with crap, but in every newspaper there's something that attracts you to keep on reading.
One of the few things that made me read Shihan was Riham Farra , I started reading her weekly Shihan's column when I was in college and I was surprised how such woman who was only a few years older than me had the guts to write about politics in the most popular weekly in Jordan.
Very bright, well-educated and clear.....
She continued her education in England and worked for a while in daily newspaper in Jordan and the UN's office in Amman.
Today I had some free time, and just for a moment I forgot that she was killed in the UN office explosion in Baghdad in 2003, and started searching Shihan's or Al-Arab el Yawm's websites for any new article for her.
It didn't take long to remember that she's gone......
It's strange how brave people are forgotten quickly, but cowards are remembered forever.
