And this is how we say "Welcome to Tucson"

The Mrs. America contest was held yesterday here in Tucson, Arizona.

A few days before that, one of the contestants, Mrs. Tennessee, was walking outside her hotel when she saw a big spider coming her way.

Scared to death, she moved out of his way but a snake nearby jumped on her foot and bit her.

Mrs. Tennessee was rushed to the hospital where she spent the night in the ICU.

Three days later she was discharged from the hospital and was able to compete, and guess what? She came second after Mrs. Wyoming.

Here's her photo after she left the hospital.

ya mama 3ala haik esti2bal.. I have to reconsider visiting my friend in Phoenix over Thanksgiving break, or do you think I'd be welcomed by something less dangerous than in Tucson??
Elmuhim, mish kteer 7elweh Mrs. Tennessee :D, but myabe the snake bite was an advantage in this case.. it made the judges sympathize with her and that is what made her second place :)) looool

She's cute..and lucky,it could've been much worse !! We have the same problem here, once you leave home you don't know which creature will surprise you.. I think you have better weather though than Florida, less humid..

Yea, amma15, look at the back of her hand compared to her arm!

She should have been hospitalized for Banana Boat Tan Creme toxicity overdose.

secratea... by thanksgiving the snakes would have started hiding, so don't worry! I guess the judges sympathasized with her, who knows maybe if it was a dinosaur she would have won the title

the contestants are not as attractive as those in Miss USA becuase all of them are older (some are in their 40s!)- you can still be beautiful and attractive at 50 but not as much as 20 !

maher.... laaa2 ya zalameh if i was her doctor i would never ever post her name on a blog it's veru unethical, i just got this news from the media, she actually came to our hospital and left without most other doctors knowing about it! It's not like in Jordan when someone is admitted to the hospital their relatives 3 continents away would know the same day he's being admitted!

amma15... is solar orange considered a color?
noura... yes it's much less humid here, but when it's 110 degrees nobody cares if it's dry heat or humid heat, it's just f----ed up

kinzi... LOL! not sure there's an anti-venom for that!

I don't mean to drag on this comments page when there's newer posts but I just can't let this one go

"the contestants are not as attractive as those in Miss USA becuase all of them are older (some are in their 40s!)- you can still be beautiful and attractive at 50 but not as much as 20 !"

Women have more potential to be beautiful at 40 than 20, that doesn't usually happen because women let themselves go by then but look at people that dont....40 year old celebrities are hotter than 20 year old celebrities, 40 year old personal trainers are hotter than 20 year old personal trainers.

When you're 20 you're dealing with all kinds of skin issues, awkward, self-conscious, possess baby fat, probably don't have enough money to stay trendy-it's just a weird age. Haven't you ever seen the video for "stacie's mom"?

My nutritionist is 51 and she's one of the most attractive people I've ever seen in my life and I'm pretty sure she didn't look that great when she was 20.

23 is so much more pleasant than 20 (my age) and I'm looking forward to the future!

Hareega, I can definitely say I look better at nearly 50 than I did at 20. W/o needles, knives or a personal trainer, must be all that shawarmeh.

as i was writing this comment i realized that i was gonna be murdered
everyone is beautiful in his/her own way,
TV viewers watch Miss America where the contestants are usually in the age group 18-24 more than they watch MRs. America. This is generalzing of course, you'll find a lot of attractive women who are older
